Zansors Wearable Sleep Sensor allows you to measure your ‘sleep personality’

Sleep. The final frontier. These are the voyages of the USS Insomnia-prise. Our mission? To finally get a good night’s sleep. Hopefully it won’t be a five year voyage as we are very exhausted. Ok, Star Trek joke done. In all seriousness, insomnia and sleeplessness can really, really suck. Technology has made major strides in combating this illness in recent years, with all kinds of sleep sensors and similar devices hitting the market. They usually have one bad thing in common though. They tend to be huge, ornery and therefore hard to wear while trying to sleep.

A company called Zansors recognizes that and are trying their best to change that stigma. To that end they have developed the ZeeMee, a sleep sensor that you wear as a patch. Say goodbye to the days of strapping strangely shaped contraptions to your head(sorry side or stomach sleepers.) This sleep patch measures users’ breathing patterns and motion during the night and assigns a sleep score using a simple color and number scale. By examining your score you can better understand what makes your sleeping self tick and, more importantly, how to fall asleep.

The ZeeMee  is completely wireless and features a micro-controller, sensors and a battery. The whole thing comes housed in a thin and easily wearable patch. It doesn’t matter if you roll over on it, snore on it or anything like that. It’s sort of a “fix it and forget it” scenario. Zansors has taken to crowdfunding site Indiegogo to get the patch funded and for just $55 you can be sure to be one of the first kids on your block sleeping through the entire night without tossing and turning.
