Austin Whitney was paralyzed in a 2007 accident. He never thought he’d be able to walk the aisle when he graduated. Well thanks to diligent work by a team of UC Berkeley scientists, he was able to.

The crackerjack team created a specialized exoskeleton primarily to help paraplegics get around better. There are lots of exoskeletons floating around, but most of these designs are intended for military or industrial use. It’s good to see one meant to simply help people.

Here is a video of the exoskeleton in action.
