Microsoft has released its new fitness band, imaginatively called “Microsoft Band”.
In reality, it does looks a lot like the last band. It is, claims Microsoft, a refined version of the previous incarnation with a load of new features.
These include eleven different sensors – most notably Cortana and a barometer for elevation and stair-climbing readings, as well as a new curved Gorilla Glass 3-covered display that Microsoft says works better with sweaty fingers (i.e. people who really do exercise!).The Band comes in three different sizes—small (143-170mm), medium (163-185mm), and large (180-210mm) and up to 48 hours of reported battery life during average use.
The Band is due out on October 30th with a retail price of £199.
